a Highchair & a Tooth coming in soon!

Kendall's been eating baby foods for close to a month now and she has gotten the hang of it, for sure! As much as she enjoys all the vegtables that she's tried so far, the last couple of weeks though we've had to battle for her attention after a few minutes in the Bumbo chair while we feed her ... we've been using the Bumbo chair (with the little try attached) instead of a highchair, since she's so small. The problem is, it doesn't buckle her in and she has sooo much room to move around in the Bumbo chair, that it's just not working anymore!

So, Daddy put her new Highchair together for us on Saturday evening! Ashley's siblings (and our sisters-in-law/brothers-in-law) got us the Chicco highchair we'd picked out and registered for ... it was such a surprise when it arrived on our doorstep back in April, before Kendall was born ... I remember I was stuck in the hospital on bedrest and Ashley had run home after work to check on Cassie & the pool and pick up our mail before coming back up to the hospital for the night ... and on our front porch was this giant box that had been delivered. They'd ordered it online and it had been shipped to us, but Babies R Us didn't have the card they'd also sent us attached or their names on it ... so we weren't sure who it was from ... there was a Portland, WA phone number on the UPS label, so Ash called his brother ... and found out it was from all of them! And, finally, we are getting to use it!

(Just a side note here, but have I ever mentioned what an awesome husband I have? I've always known that he is amazing, but my pregnancy with Kendall & the long 8 weeks in the NICU after her birth, proved it over and over again! One of the sweetest things (just to name one of them ...) he did for me with all that was going on with my health and being on bedrest at home and then at the hospital was spending the night at the hospital with me EVERY night that I was stuck in there! For 3 weeks, he slept on a chair that folded out into an uncomfortable twin size bed ... got up, dressed & went to work each morning ... came back to the hospital for most of his lunches to check on me ... and back to the hospital after work for the evenings/nights ... all so I didn't have to sleep alone. He is the sweetest ... I think that's where Kendall gets her sweetness from!)

Kendall tried out her new Highchair ... and we LOVE it!

And yes, she is stillllllll spitting ... it's lovely, really! So, she wears a bib the entire time she's awake! Really hoping this is just a phase that she grows out of very soon!

Sunday after church ... Kendall's first meal in her new highchair! Enjoying her yummy squash and green beans ... and waving as well ... Little Miss Multi-tasker!

She's wearing a cute little Children's Place sweater dress with the matching tights from her Auntie E ... who is coming to visit us this coming weekend ... Woo Hoo!

About Kendall's first tooth ... we know she's been working on it for some time now and finally, over the weekend, I saw the white spot in her bottom gums ... so it won't be long now! Looking at it today, you can see it closer to the surface of the gums ... she's been a little fussy lately, but hasn't had any waking up times during the nights, at this point ... although her naps have all been a little shorter, but maybe that's related to something totally different ... don't know. Hopefully we'll be seeing her 1st tooth soon! (I can't believe Kendall's about to have a tooth already ... WOWZA!)
