Friday morning (June 24) Kendall met her Uncle Rhett (Ashley's younger brother), Aunt Ya-Ya, and cousins Brandon (4) and Tyler (14 months ... he's officially 3 weeks younger than Kendall, but should have been 8 weeks older than her, had she been born on time) ... and we finally got to meet Tyler for the 1st time, as well! They drove in from Vancouver, WA (10 minutes away from Portland, OR) and arrived late Thursday night/early Friday morning. We were sooo happy they came up to Canada for a long weekend while we were here!
We all enjoyed a lazy morning playing with all the kids and a big brunch with blueberry pancakes, bacon, eggs & fruit. Kendall tried blueberry pancakes for the 1st time (all torn up into tiny pieces) ... and LOVED them!
Then, we all hit the beach ... us 6 adults & 6 kids met Huni & GranGran at Cresent Beach! This was Kendall's 1st beach ... her 1st time to put her toes in the sand & her 1st time (& hopefully, only time) to take a taste (or 2) of the sand ... we really do try to keep things out of her mouth, but she is VERY fast! What started out as a pretty cool day, ended up getting into the 80's while we were at the beach, so layers were quickly shed (which helps to explain Kendall's mix-matched outfit at the beach ... had it not been for Auntie Mary having 3 girls & keeping their clothing, poor Kendall would not had been clothed for this chilly summer trip)!
but we must of looked like we were having fun, because everyone came down to join us for rock skipping & throwing |
Brandon & Huni taking a water break ... Huni & GranGran were happy to take on some baby duty for us ... they played with, held & fed snacks to Kendall & Tyler. |
Me with cutie-patootie Sadie-cakes ... I soooo heart this adorable, hilarious, super sweet 4 year old girl! |
We might have been a bit messy by the time we got done, but everyone had a great time playin' in the sand ... and we were happy that Kendall enjoyed had her 1st beach experience!
Looks like everyone had a great time. Where are your bathing suits? The water must have been COLD!
