Okay, so TODAY ... JULY 13th, 2010 ... is officially Kendall's 1 year old adjusted age! Happy 12 months ... again, Little Miss! (She's 14.5 months old ... by official birth.) For it was on this date 1 year ago that I was due to deliver Kendall originally ... and her age is adjusted & corrected by these 11 weeks for 2 full years (so just 1 more year to go ... yippee!) for her growth & development. (Having to keep up with 2 dates of age - when it's by the months - is a little difficult at times ... after next year, we will be happy to have just her May 1st birthdate to keep up with!)
We are happy to report that she is right on with all of her development (thus far) ... and is officially a walker since this past week ... and she has not stopped to sit down since ... ha! We are working hard on feedings & finger foods ... and have made some big strides over the past 2 months! Her pediatrician's goal is for her to be off of formula on Aug 1st & switching over to whole milk (3 times a day) ... I'm praying this transition goes smoothly ... and that she can eat enough to keep her weight maintained & continue to gain!
Kendall is a little on the small side for her growth ... for her weight, she is in the 10th %tile (of other girls born in July 2009, as she should have been ... she is no where near being on the charts for May 2009 girls & is not compared to them until she turns 2). She may be small, but she's come a VERY long way from her beginning of only weighing 2 lbs 6 oz at birth ... so we think she's doing fantastic!
We are so proud of our sweet Kendall ... of all the hard work that she's given over this past year in getting to the point where she is now! We are overjoyed that God has entrusted her to us, to be her parents! We are so grateful for the sweet little girl that God is growing & developing her into ... and stand in amazement of what He has done in her during these 14 precious months of her life!
