1st Day of Preschool 2011

Today was our 1st day of preschool, at our new school!

We both had a good 1st day ... Kendall was very excited ... I was very nervous, for Kendall and for my own class. She was so excited to get dressed and wear her ladybug outfit (that her Auntie E had given her at Christmas) ... to pack her food into her "sparkly lunchbox" and wear her "pack-pack" ... she was all smiles & ready for school!   Little Miss Big Girl!

 She started to get a little unsure when I left her in her classroom ... being a teacher's kid, she was the 1st one to arrive.  (She is very quiet when going to Bible class at church, or just meeting new kids ... she likes to observe for a while, but she eventually warms up.) She saw me as her sweet little class was coming in to Chapel & then leaving, but I just waved to her & said she was doing good ... she was a little sad & wanted to see me, but she stayed in her line, and did not cray, so that was good. 

After school, she came in to my room, all smiles & ran to me.  I asked her what she did today ... "I paint hands", "I craft" (she really pronounces it by leaving off the "ft" & ending it with a "p", but we are working that!), "I play blocks, stack tall tower", "I playground, I slide down on playground", "climb steps, fall down" (not real sure about this one), "I nap mat" (but apparently, she did NOT nap on it!), "I read books", "I song", "I lunchbox"!  I asked her if she had fun today, and she said "Yes!" ... and apparently she did ... and I think she covered about all that they did, too! 

Hope our 2nd day goes just as good, or better (actually taking a nap would be awesome!)!
