Chisholm Aquatics Center

Today we had some family summer fun in the sun at Chisholm Aquatics Center!  Our city has 2 pretty neat Aquatics Centers ... and the price for admission is even better ... $2 a person (ages 1-64)!  We've only been to Chisholm since it's really near our home & has plenty of fun for us.  (This is where Kendall will be taking her 1st swimming lessons later on this month.)  It has several different pool areas, diving boards, pool lanes, big slides & kid's areas for all ages ... we mainly spend our time in the zero-depth entry kid's playscape ... this is Kendall's favorite!  The deepest water is 18 inches, so this summer, Kendall is able to walk through it much easier & maintain her balance through all the waterfalls, sprinklers, downpours, tunnels and stairs this playscape offers.

the enclosed tan slide is Kendall's favorite slide ... she will slide,
come out to say "again!", walk around to the stairs to climb back up to
slide again ... over and over and over again!

She has recently discovered "jumping" ... well, she calls it jumping, anyway ... she gets in the jumping position, as if she's about to launch herself up 10 feet, but when she jumps usually 1 or maybe neither foot/feet actually leave the floor ... but she'll do it over & over again ... one day she'll have it down!  She decided she would jump off the stairs at the pool ... she's working on it ...

All the swimming & playing makes this cute little thing hungry!  She took a break for a quick snack & was back in the water as soon as possible.  (Side note ... I love her little pigtails all wet and curling up into 1 skinny clump.)

The only way to beat the heat here in Texas is to stay wet all summer!  Happy Summer!
