a day out with Pops

Pops has been staying with us each week while working in Dallas and we have all been enjoying our extra time with him ... especially his little (and only) granddaughter who simply adores her Pops! {Our guest room has been forever renamed "Pops' room"!}

Pops had a random mid-week day off  this week, so Kendall & I tagged along with Pops to his favorite 2 stores in the metroplex ... Cabela's and Bass Pro Shop.  {Our first time into Cabela's (with Pops, no doubt) earlier last month, it took quite a while for us to adjust to the "decor" throughout the store ... aka dead animals!  The hunted animals on big display for all to see are EVERYWHERE you look in these stores ... which was new to us.  When we walked in and saw the animals everywhere, Kendall expected them to all be alive, more like a zoo trip, and was quite concerned about the ones that were halfway coming out of the walls!  A new experience for us! HA!}

Kendall loves to do 2 things at Cabela's ... check out their {live} aquarium and feed the {hungry} fish!  And her Pops is only too eager to oblige!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After checking at Cabela's, we made our way to Bass Pro Shop ... among looking at other things there (which was why Pops was going in the first place), we quickly found Kendall's main attraction ... the {free} Christmas reindeer carousel and the other kids' fun Christmas stations, including arts & crafts and a {free} picture with Santa!
