Tonight, we met up with our friends the Caton's at NRHBC's event ... Christmas on the Boulevard. It was a cold evening, but learning from our North Pole Express event a few days before, we were bundled up in plenty of layers & stayed warm enough. Since Auntie E was still visiting us from Hawaii, she came with us ... she's been friends with Angela since high school, so it was a fun to catch up. The church had tons of fun things set up for the evening ... face painting, ornament making, many kids games, hot chocolate & chili stands, bounce houses and a tractor-pulling hay ride, the children's choir performed and there was a live walking 8 scene nativity. The evening did not disappoint! I think we will be adding this as a family tradition.
Angela, E and me
(E was a good sport ... she didn't have any winter clothes, since she's been in Hawaii and it's usually not so cold here, but the week she was here, it was freezing! We just had to make due with the extra things in our closets ... even if it was a little old and mix-matched!)
The sweet baby playing baby Jesus was crying by the time we arrived at this last scene ... it was very cold out & he was not enjoying his time away from the heaters when he came out on stage. Kendall was so very concerned for him and his crying ... she was still talking about baby Jesus crying when we put her to bed tonight.
If you live in the area, you should definitely check out Christmas on the Boulevard next year ... we'll see you there!
