less than 24 hours

Sunday evening we went to DFW airport to pick up Kendall's Huni & GranGran! They had been traveling for 2 days, coming in from the Ukraine and will be in Canada & the states for the holidays. They spent the night with us ... then flew out to Portland, OR the next day! We had less than 24 hours with them ... but we made the most of our time together and look forward to seeing them (for a longer visit) again at the end of December!

Unfortunately, their flight from Germany was over an hour late, which caused them to miss their next flight in Chicago to get to Dallas ... so they were quite upset that they lost 2.5 hours of "Kendall-time", as they put it, since we had such little time together!

After a yummy All-American dinner at one of their favorite spots, Chapps Burgers, we enjoyed some play time at home before Kendall's bedtime ... Kendall made the most of her time with them by reading books & singing songs ... 2 of her favorite things!  She warmed up to them very quickly (which we were really happy about, since she hadn't seen them since June, they weren't sure if she'd remember them) ... and wouldn't let GranGran out of her sight (much like she does with her Daddy)!

Monday we spent the morning together (Ash had to go to work) ... met Ash at Chili's for a lunch date ... picked up a few items at Sam's ... then dropped off Huni & GranGran at the airport for their flight out to Portland. It was a whirlwind trip for them, but so happy they were able to stop over in Texas to see us!
