Pumpkin Carving

This afternoon we carved our 1st pumpkin as a family ... it was the big pumpkin we bought at the pumpkin patch last night and Kendall was VERY excited to give her pumpkin a "smiling face".  She was eager to begin her special job as the big spoon operator ... after Daddy cut the pumpkin open.  But as the job went on, it was clearly not what she had anticipated, and she quickly found herself new roles for the task as wet wipe dispense manager and overall supervisor.  Once Daddy was finished cleaning out the pumpkin, she was happy to help design it's smiling face ... choosing triangles for the eyes and also for the nose and a smiling mouth ... Daddy gave our pumpkin a special surprise by adding ears ... and lighting a candle to give it a nice glow.  Thanks to Daddy, our family pumpkin was all cleaned out, carved and proudly displayed on our front porch.  (Please disregard the shocking lack of clothing on Little Miss ... she decided this was a dirty job that required minimal amount of coverage, once she got a speck of pumpkin on her dress.)

Happy Fall!   Happy Pumpkin Carving!
