Kendall's Sip 'n See Brunch ...

Saturday, August 15 ... we had Kendall's Sip 'n See brunch! We had a great time seeing old college friends, old work friends, neighbors, Richland Hills friends, and family! A HUGE thank you to Christi and Carol for throwing a fun brunch for us!

While the family was here, we really enjoyed getting to hang out and relax in the pool ... swimming always brings back happy memories of our childhood when we would visit our grandparents' home and swim all day long!

Allen Outlet shopping trip ...

Friday, August 14 ... we hit the Allen Outlet mall ... we had a big crew with us and had a great time shopping all day! Mom, E, Rae, Mason, MawMaw, Great Aunt Shanny, Aunt Nita, Kendall & I made the trip to Allen. First we stopped in at the Coach store, so my Mom could pick out her birthday gift from my sisters and I. Several others in our party also found purses to buy! After shopping all day, we had a fabulous lunch at PF Changs ... one of our favorite restaurants! Kendall, once again, slept through the day ... she does so good shopping ... I am one lucky mommy!

the Dallas Zoo ...

Thursday, August 13 ... We hit the Dallas Zoo as soon as they opened (to try to avoid the worst of the heat). This was Kendall's first zoo trip and of course, she slept through all of it ... she did great, despite the extreme heat!

Mason LOVES the zoo ... and we were planning on seeing 4 or 5 main animals, eating lunch and heading back home to cool off in the pool! We had a little difficulty reading the zoo map, so we got to see a few more animals than originally planned.

Wednesday, August 12 ... my sister, Estee, came to visit us and see Kendall! E lives in Florida and has only been able to meet Kendall once while she was still in the hospital, while on a quick lay-over for a flight. So, with E coming in for a real visit, our youngest sister, Rachel, and my adorable 22 month old nephew, Mason, and parents all came in for a long weekend at our house. We had a great time being all together and had a jam-pack itinerary ... a true Byers family experience!
